How did turnover develop at Business Unit Europe in in the third quarter of 2008?
SBU Europe sustained a decline in its third-quarter turnover, from the CHF 262 million of the prior-year period to CHF 233 million. EBIT for the period totalled CHF 16.4 million (compared to CHF 18.4 million a year ago). The declines are due primarily to the relative weakness of the euro and to the sale of the unit’s Austrian retail operations.
