Share buyback programme concluded on October 2 Print page

Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd. concluded its CHF 100 million share buyback programme on October 2. The programme had been launched on August 23, 2006.

In the course of its share buyback programme, Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd. repurchased a total of 144 000 registered shares B (4.80% of the registered shares B in circulation before the start of the programme) at an average price of CHF 652.5 via a second trading line on the SWX Swiss Exchange. Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd. has also repurchased 14 400 registered shares A to date from the Kuoni & Hugentobler Foundation, and has undertaken to repurchase a further 33 600 registered shares A from the Foundation at an already-determined price provided the next General Meeting of Shareholders resolves to effect a corresponding capital reduction. Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd. will then have repurchased a total of 48 000 registered shares A (4.80% of the registered shares A in circulation before the start of the share buyback programme) from the Kuoni & Hugentobler Foundation at an average price of CHF 130.5.

The Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of April 18, 2007 resolved to delete 43 200 registered shares B and 14 400 registered shares A with a simultaneous corresponding capital reduction. The capital reduction was duly entered in the Commercial Register on July 4, 2007. The Board of Directors of Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd. will ask the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of April 18, 2008 to approve the deletion of the 100 800 registered shares B repurchased by the company since March 16, 2007 and 33 600 registered shares A, with a simultaneous corresponding capital reduction.
